Skin is the largest organ in our body. When we use a bath soap our body will absorb the chemicals through the skin. In the same way, when you use a herbal bath powder, the medicinal and healing qualities from the herbs enter into your body. They heal and nourish your body. To minimize the chemicals and toxins enter into your body, we should minimize using soaps containing harmful chemicals. I have a simple and easy recipe for ayurvedic herbal bath powder. Try this and share your feed back with me and other viewers.
Ingredients
1 cup of Besan/Chickpea flour/Gram flour/Senaga pindi
1 tbsp Rice flour
1 tbsp Turmeric powder/Haldi/Pasupu/Manjal
1 tbsp Amla/Amalaki powder/Usirika podi/Indian Goose berry
1 tbsp Tulasi/Holy Basil powder
1 tbsp Neem/Vepa/Indian Lilac powder
1 tbsp dry lemon or orange peel powder

Preparation
Take all the above ingredients in a bowl and mix them well without any lumps.
How to store
Store it in a bottle with holes on the lid like a spice container or salt shaker. These containers are easy to sprinkle bath powder. Keep this bottle in the bath room where you can reach easily but keep away from the water. If the water gets in the bottle the bath powder will get wet and will get spoil soon.

How to use
Here I will show you how to use everyday and on a regular weekly basis.
Weekly
Apply oil on all over your body. Let the skin absorb the oil and apply oil again and lightly massage. Take a small amount of bath powder in a bowl and make a paste by adding little water or milk. Apply this paste generously on your oiled skin and let it dry. Once it is dry you may wipe off by pressing hard on your skin back and forth. Like you are doing a deep massage. Then wash it off. You do not need to use a soap to wash. Besan in the bath powder will do the cleaning.
Daily
When you are taking shower daily sprinkle bath powder on your skin after wetting it. Gently rub your skin just like you use a soap. And finish your shower by washing it off. It takes almost the same amount of time like when you use a soap.
