Herbal Powder to prevent & control blood sugar-Home remedy for diabetes

Prevention is better than cure. Diabetes is one of them. It is better to prevent diabetes before it knocks the door. There are a lot of herbs to prevent and to support diabetes. I made a herbal powder and I am sharing it here.

There are a number of reasons for diabetes. Some of them are stress, unhealthy eating habits, lack of physical activity, vitamin mineral deficiency, low immunity, environment toxins and heredity.
Ingredients
I took 1 pound of each ingredient.
Bilwa/Bael/Bilwa patra/Aegle marmelos/
Gymnema Sylvestre/Madhunasini/Meshasringi/Gurmar/Podapatri
Bay leaf/Tej patta/Masala aaku/Biryani aaku
Cedar berry /
Fenugreek seed/Methi seeds/Menthulu
Billberry leaf/
Jamun/Jambu/Neredu pandu/
Ashwagandha/Withania Somnifera/Indian Ginseng
Milk Thistle/
Bitter melon/Bitter gourd/Karela/Kakara/Pavakkai

How to mix the herbs
I took a large container like a basin and added all the ingredients. Make sure the basin is clean and dry. I mixed all the herbs well and sifted twice. Mix them very well, so that you have even mixture of all the herbs.

How to store
When you make a large batch like this, keep a small amount of herbal powder in a glass bottle in room temperature. Rest of the powder keep in the refrigerator and refill your small bottle when ever you need.

How to use
The herbal powder can be added to fruit juice, vegetable juice or smoothie. You can simply add it to a cup of water and drink it. This herbal powder has a wonderful aroma but the taste is little bitter. So do not expect this very tasty. If you mix the powder with yogurt it will be better taste.

It is always better to start with a low dose. Take this every day to control blood sugar level. Observe closely for any changes in blood sugar levels. If you are  checking your blood sugar everyday, you will immediately know if there is any change. Please do not discontinue your medications while take this herbal powder. Continue your medications and consult your healthcare practitioner for your prescription adjustment.

Note-If you have Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), please do not take Gymnema powder (Gurmar) as it reduces blood sugar levels very effectively.
