When winter starts we all look for lip balm to protect ourselves from dry and cracked lips. Do you want to use a lip balm that has petroleum products, artificial colors or artificial fragrances? Do you want your family to use those? Certainly not. Why??
The wax that is used in the commercial lip balm is derived from petroleum which has a strong odour. To mask those strong odours strong fragrances are required.

Ingredients
2 tbsp extra virgin coconut oil
1 tbsp Beeswax
1-2 capsules of Vitamin E
3-5 drops of any of your favorite essential oil
any natural color (optional) -I used a little pinch of turmeric powder
Preparation
Get your containers ready.
Grate beeswax or cut into small pieces.

Grate beeswax or cut into small pieces.
Procedure
Heat some water in a sauce pan on medium heat.
Put another bowl in side the sauce pan.
Take coconut oil in the bowl which is placed inside the sauce pan.
Add grated beeswax to the coconut oil.
While the beeswax is melting in the coconut oil, add vitamin E capsule, your favorite natural color (in this case I used a small pinch of turmeric) and your favorite natural essential oil.
Let all the ingredients mix together with coconut oil.
Turn off the stove.
Transfer the liquid carefully into your containers before it gets hard.
Let them cool down completely about an hour.
Helpful Tips
You can adjust the consistency of your lip balm by increasing or decreasing the quantity of beeswax.
If you use more beeswax it will be harder which will be good for a chap stick tube.
If you use less beeswax it will be softer which is good for a container.
