During Sankranthi in India women and girls like to decorate their front yard with beautiful rangoli designs. Rangoli is made with powdered lime stone. Since powdered lime stone is not available where I live I came up with my own idea. Here is a simple homemade Rangoli Powder / Muggu Podi which is a replacement for powdered lime stone.
Ingredients
1/2 cup rice flour
1/4 cup of all purpose flour which is also called maida.
Procedure
Mix them together and store it in a bottle. Do not use wet hands. This is a small batch I have shown. But you can make a large batch and store depending on how much you use.
