How to grow
When ever you pick some mint from your garden pick along with a small stem. Then separate all the leaves and stick those stems in the plant pots and on the ground. Slightly water them everyday. In about a week they develop roots and get new leaves and become a new individual plant. The pots can be kept inside the house by the window during winter. The plants out side will die in the sever winter and come back in the spring again.
When you buy mint from store also do not through away the stems.

How to store
Wash the mint leaves by dipping in the water to remove any impurities. Drain the water completely.
Freezing mint leaves
Put them in ziplock bags and store them in the freezer. You may freeze them upto 6 months. Frozen mint leaves can be used to make biryani, pulav, soups, salads, chutneys etc.
Drying the mint leaves
Drying is another way of storing. After draining the water, spread the leaves on a plate and let them air dry inside the house. It will take about 4-5 days for the leaves to get dry. If you have full Sun put them out side for Sundry. This will take 2-3 days. But make sure you dry the leaves 100%. Otherwise they get fungus. When they are completely dry they will be crisp and make sound when you move in your hand. Then store them in an airtight glass bottle.
