How to make Amla Hair Oil to prevent Hair Fall and Grow Healthy Hair

6/17/2017

Amla is not only good for making pickle. It has other uses and benefits too. One of them is making hair oil with it.
Amla oil prevents hair fall and treats dandruff.
It nourishes the hair and promotes hair growth.

Ingredients
1 cup Amla juice.
1 cup Sesame oil or Coconut oil.
5-6 drops of your favorite essential oil or a pinch of camphor. (optional).
Preparation
Remove the seed from Amla and cut them into small pieces.
Grind them well without adding any water.
Extract the juice by straining the pulp through a filter or sieve.
If you don't have a filter or sieve, just squeeze it by hand.
Measure 1 cup of juice.
Also measure 1 cup of oil.
Tip:- Do not throw away the squeezed pulp or the Amla crush.

Procedure
Take Amla juice and oil in a thick bottom sauce pan and heat it in the low flame stirring in between. It will be bubbling and the oil will be getting all the good things from Amla juice. Continue heating until all the bubbles are gone. Soon you will see a black residue of amla. Stir it with a spatula so that if there is any moisture trapped inside will come out. Continue heating until all the moisture is gone because the moisture will spoil the oil.

You may scoop out the residue now. Transfer the amla oil into a clean and dry bottle. If you like some fragrance to it add a few drops of essential oil like tee tree oil. You may also add a pinch of camphor to it. Camphor also gives a nice fragrance. Do not add any artificial colors or fragrances. They are harmful to your hair.

How to use
Apply amla hair oil onto your hair every day or at least twice a week. For better resulta apply amla hair oil and massage it gently with your finger tips.
