Sprouts are super food. Make them in a clean way at home and enjoy the benefits of eating them. We can make sprouts with beans, grains, seeds and nuts. They not the same. They all have their own sprouting time. But the common thing is they all multiply their nutritional values after sprouting. I experimented with lot of them and some are very easy and some are little difficult. Here I will show you some easy methods to make sprouts at home.

Uses
Sprouts can be used in salads, curries, chats, sandwiches, dips and can be used in some other rice varieties.

Benefits
Sprouts alkalize your body. Many diseases and conditions are caused by acidity in the body.
Because of their packed nutrients, sprouts are good for growing children, pregnant women and nursing mothers.
Sprouting increases the quality and nutritional value of proteins in beans, seeds, grains and nuts making them more digestible.
Fiber increases due to the sprouting process, so they are better for weight loss and to detoxify the toxins.
When you make sprouts at home, you don't use harmful pesticides and chemical. You are helping the environment.
Sprouts are great for people with nutritional deficiencies.

Varieties in sprouts
There are a large varieties of beans, grains, nuts and seeds.
Here are some: Brown rice, whole wheat, barley, millets, buckwheat, quinoa, Amaranth seeds, flax seeds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, alfa alfa seeds, almonds, peanuts, black beans, black gram beans, whole chana(chickpeas or garbanzo beans), green peas and moong beans.

Making sprouts in different methods
Using Sprouts Maker
The sprouts maker usually comes with 3-4 pans. So 3-4 varieties of sprouts can be made at the same time. Each pan contains a hole in it with a cap except the bottom pan. The bottom pan collects excess water from all the upper pans leaving a small amount of water in each pan. That little water will be enough for sprouting. Take different kinds of sprouts in each pan and fill with water. Water goes down slowly to the next pan through the hole leaving a small amount of water. From this pan water goes to the next pan. Finally all the excess water will go to the bottom pan.
If you have a sprouts maker you can use it. If you don't have it do not need to go buy one. There are some easy methods to make sprouts.
Bottle method
Take a few seeds or beans in a bottle and wash them well. Add some clean water
to the bottle. Use the water that you use to drink. Seal the bottle with a clean cloth and a rubber band. Let them soak overnight. Then drain the water and rinse them well. Put the seal back and invert the bottle to drain out all the excess water. The moisture inside the beans will be enough to sprout. Rinse them at least once a day until they are fully sprouted. Store them in the refrigerator and use them as quickly as you can.
Bowl method
Soak overnight the beans or seeds in a bowl. Then drain the water completely and leave the bowl covered on your kitchen counter to let the sprouting process. Once they are fully sprouted store them in the refrigerator and use them as soon as possible.
Cheese Cloth method
After soaking the beans or seeds in a bowl, take them on a cheese cloth. Pull the ends together, twist and put a rubber band. Make it loose so they have enough room to sprout.
Tips
Do not make a big batch of sprouts. Unless you know that you can use all of them.
Do not keep them for too long. Use them before they get spoiled.
While they are sprouting rinse them twice a day or at least once a day.
Drain out all the water completely after each rinse. Chickpeas, fenugreek seeds and flax seeds get sticky if they have water in them.
Rotate more varieties to get more benefit.
