Sweet Lassi without White Sugar

Sweet Lassi is a very refreshing and cooling Indian summer drink. It is basically a combination of yogurt or buttermilk and sugar. It is loaded with sugar. And sweet lassi also gives sugar rush in some people. So to avoid that I have a healthy variation for you all.
Ingredients
2 cups of yogurt or take 3 cups of buttermilk.
2-3 cups of water or ice cubes.
6-8 cashews

10-12 pitted dates
For Garnishing
3-4 pistachios
3 cardamoms


Preparation
Break cardamom seeds and tae out the seeds. Crush them into a slightly coarse powder.
Crush the pistachios into slightly coarse powder.
Soak cashews in water.
Cut the dates into small pieces and soak in water.

Procedure
Take every thing except cardamom and pistachio into your blender jar. Add water and blend it into a smoothie consistency. Give a taste test if you need more sweet add 1 or 2 tsp of agave nectar. Take it into your serving cups and garnish with cardamom and pistachio. Enjoy sweet lassi in a healthy way without white sugar.

Helpful Tips
You may also use raw organic honey or agave nectar.
Sweet Lassi helps the body to hydrate in the summer.

Health Information
Do not load your lassi with white sugar because it spikes up the blood sugar levels in many people.
Dates contain minerals like iron, potassium, magnesium, copper and manganese.
They also contain vitamins A,B and K.
They are a good source of dietary fiber.
Eating dates moderately can protect from macular degeneration, heart disease and cancer.
