Make an easy salad with your favorite veggies and give thadka. It becomes a tasty salad that you do not need salad dressing.
Ingredients
Any vegetables of your choice.
Here is my choice.
Carrot, zucchini, colored bell peppers, onion, green onion, cilantro/coriander leaves green chili.
Sprouted chickpeas, raw or boiled.
A few pumpkin seeds and almond slices
Pink Himalayan salt for taste.
lemon juice
For Thadaka(tempering)
2 tbsp coconut oil or olive oil or ghee
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp crushed red chili flakes
a pinch of hing/asafoetida

Procedure
Take all the vegetables into a salad bowl. Add sprouted chickpeas, pumpin seeds and almond slices. Mix them well. Add salt and lemon juice. Mix them again. Now make the tempering or thadaka.
Making thadaka
In a small sauce pan, heat oil on low medium. When the oil is hot add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Keep stirring. When the mustard seeds are spluttering, add red chili flakes and hing. Switch off the flame and add it to the salad. Mix it well. Enjoy fresh thadaka salad.
