2 cups of whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
3 cardamoms (powdered) or 1 tsp vanilla essence
Wet ingredients
1 cup of jaggery
1/2 a cup of butter in room temp
4 tbsp of cream cheese
Preparation
Combine the dry ingredients wheat flour, baking powder, and cardamom powder in a bowl and keep it aside.
Take jaggery, butter, and cream cheese in another bowl and mix them well into a smooth paste. You may use a spatula or a hand mixer to mix them.
Add the dry ingredients little by little to wet ingredients and mix them well. Do not add all at once. Depending on the jaggery or wheat flour the consistency of the dough may be different. If the dough is too tight, sprinkle a few drops of milk or water. If it is too loose add a tsp of dry wheat flour. When everything is mixed well shape it into a log. Wrap the log in a plastic sheet and refrigerate it for about 30 minutes.
